About Us
Common Grounds Mission Statement
Our goal is to provide an opportunity for women at BridgePoint Bible Church and from the surrounding community to get connected with one another on an intimate level. The format is casual and informative, with an emphasis on relationship development.
Our hope is that as we share our longings with one another at these gatherings, women will come together to initiate and carry them out with others who share those common grounds. Our relationship with God and with one another truly deepens even more as we serve alongside one another.
Grounds? Yes, coffee of course, but more importantly, the common ground we all stand on, which is faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Our ultimate purpose is becoming more effective in sharing Christ with a world that does not yet know Him!
"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose." Philippians 2:1-2 (NIV)
Significance of the Coffee Cup
We encourage all ladies joining us for Common Grounds to bring a special coffee cup that carries a special meaning or significance for you. You can share what the cup represents to you, whether it is a reminder of a loved one, a gift from a dear friend, or just happy memories with family and friends.
"And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near." Hebrews 10:24-25 (NASB)
