Conduit of Care for the Casa Havilah Ministry

Girl from Casa Havilah

The girls of Casa Havilah in Managua, Nicaragua have been rescued from dangerous living situations in the city's municipal dump, called La Chureca. Victims of abandonment, starvation and malnutrition, exposure to drug users or prostitutes in the home, and domestic abuse, these 15 sweet girls from ages four to 15 are being given a second chance in a safe, clean, familial environment at this home for girls run by the Buzbee family of missionaries.

Common Grounds is partnering with this outstanding ministry organization by collecting and delivering new girls' clothing, shoes, health products, arts and craft materials, and toys. Each month you can bring your donations to Common Grounds, and two of our regular Common Grounds attenders (who work as flight attendants) will take our donations directly to these beautiful young girls.

For more information, please visit the link below to view the Casa Havilah flyer to learn exactly how you can help out, the full list of requested donation items, and a link to the website of Open Hearts Ministry, which runs Casa Havilah.
